The columns held up pretty well.
Artifacts and stuff. The plaster cast is of a guy
who died in that position. The ash hardedend around
him and archaeologists poured plaster into the
hollow area that remained and that's what they got.
Looking along one of the streets. Pompei was a decent sized place.
Artwork still remains, amazingly.
A nice little area.
Pompei with Vesuvius looming in the distance.
It's amazing it only took 3 minutes for the first
"wave of death" to get from the mountain to Pompei.
More columns, a bit shorter than they used to be.
